Olivia Falcon – Festive Fast Five

Olivia Falcon Fifi Friendly

Olivia Falcon is an award-winning beauty journalist and consultant whose stellar career includes writing for likes Vogue and at Tatler, where she was the Health & Beauty Director overseeing the Tatler Cosmetic Surgery Guide and the Brides Cosmetic Beauty Guide.

Today, Olivia is freelance and runs The Editor’s List, a cosmetic procedure concierge for those considering surgical and non-surgical work. Having tried or written about a lot of the treatments herself and with a black book of the beauty industry that is second to none, Olivia is very much an oracle in this field.

Her discreet service gives advice on which medical aesthetics might suit your requirements and which practitioner you should to go to.  A beauty matchmaker if you will …. who takes on board the practitioner’s approach, your needs and often fast tracking the long waiting lists. The Editor’s List has a full range of services including consultation, “The Bathroom Shelf Edit”, all the way through to a hand holding service where she will actually book your appointment and accompany you to your visit.

Taking subtlety to a new level on my part, I might just use this post as my Christmas list,  because getting some advice from this lady is what I have added to my Christmas list this year. I am delighted to have Olivia Falcon answering her Festive Fast Five today!

What would you love to find under the Christmas Tree or in your Christmas Stocking this year? I would love to find a Lainey Loves vintage silk dress under the tree this year – nudge nudge to my husband here. You can see her clothes on insta @Laineylovessummer

What is your top beauty tip to keep that glow this festive season? Intraceuticals oxygen facials at the Yvonne Martin salon in Maida Vale – they really hydrate and plump the skin giving a remarkable dewy finish  in a way no other facial can – plus this clinic is a hidden gem and Yvonne does the best facial massage.

Five products that I could not live without or Five handbag must haves? Dr Levy 3 deep cleanser – ups the thread count of skin – improves skin texture and clarity. Medik 8 r-Retinoate youth activating cream – the best retinol based night cream that wipes away all signs of ageing without irritation. Heliocare oil free gel spf50 – I wear spf 365 days a year and this one is the lightest, least goopy formulation and sits well under make up. Chanel CC Cream – the perfect lighter coverage for a flawless second skin finish. Aesop rind concentrate body balm – I just can’t get enough of this citrusy scent, it melts into skin leaving it feeling super soft. Rodin Olio Lusso Lip balm – non greasy formula with the sheerest hint if pink that’s a must if you’re headed under the mistletoe.

What is your best bit of 2018 and what are you looking forward to most in 2019?  Best bit of 2018 was renewing my vows at the Graceland chapel in Las Vegas to my husband Peter with our daughters as bridesmaids. Looking forward to so many things in 2019 – I am travelling to Croatia and South America – going rural in August for the first time and looking forward to growing my business The Editor’s List that offers advise on the best cosmetic procedures and practitioners.

This year I have tried to live a little greener by …..  crossing plastic  water bottles firmly off my shopping list and kitting out my house, car, office out with Swell water bottles – they come in some pretty great designs and keep water cool for 24 hours or hot for 12 hours. I also indoctrinated my kids with the idea that we must cut down on one use plastic or any plastic and they now try and convince restaurants serving plastic straws to buy paper ones instead.
