Friday Five – Made for Life by Spiezia Organics

Friday Five – Made for Life by Spiezia Organics

Spiezia Organics is a brand that utterly transfixes me.  I love what they do. I love how they do it. I love how their naturally effective and organic products make me feel. Pretty good so far. But, when it comes to choosing five of their products for my Friday Five …. I don’t love it. Severely tempted to turn #fridayfive into #fridayfifteen! Where do I begin? Today I will start off with some of my favourite body, skin and wellbeing products from Made For Life by Spiezia Organics.

This was one of the first Made For Life by Spiezia Organics products that I tried. It was 2013 and I was enjoying a facial at Fletcher’s Cottage in East Lothian.  I fell in love hard and fast with the effects of this facial and I was quick to buy a jar of this heavenly concoction to take home. This makeup melting and skin perfecting cleanser really does soothe, detoxify and soften your skin. Unlike many balms it does not clog your skin and I have found it to be a year round staple. Not only does it cleanse your skin beautifully but if you also gently inhale the aromas you will find it wonderfully relaxing for your mind too.

To apply all you need to do is take a small amount of the balm and warm it in your palms before breathing the wonderful smell. From here you can apply it over your face through massage and remove with a warm muslin. Such a calming beauty ritual to treat yourself to each morning and evening.

This Cosmos Organic and Soil Association Organic certified balm comes in a product protecting pink glass jar and contains calendula, jojoba, eucalyptus, clove oil, coconut oil and clary sage oil.

When I first saw the ingredients of this moisturising balm I had no idea how it was going to turn out. I mean,  I had never used anything with gotu kola, horsetail or yarrow in it before! However, it was the description of this Made For Life by Spiezia Organics balm that caught my attention …. “ideal for dehydrated skin showing signs of ageing” …. bingo.  A little of this fabulous product really does go a long way. After warming the blend that includes gotu kola, carrot oil, nettle leaf, horsetail, yarrow, lemon peel and rose petals in your hands, it is really easy to apply in circular movements over the face. The helpful instructions also give tips as to where to apply pressure to feel rejuvenated.

3. Calm and Gentle Room Spray
Made For Life by Spiezia Organics don’t just rock at skincare, their wellbeing range is equally as good. I hate synthetic room sprays and candles with a passion. Their smell just sticks at the back of my throat and make me want to leave the room. This room spray by Spiezia Organics is one that naturally and instantly transforms the space you are in and your mood. Calm and Gentle Room Spray is an organic blend of lavender, rose and roman chamomile that I love to spritz it around the house in the evening when I want to chill out and unwind. For those of you who like to take a moment to be mindful during the day, this is an excellent choice. It is not overpowering. It is gentle for the whole family …. apparently the dog likes the smell too!

4. Tone and Firm Body Oil
Sadly I am not a body twin for Elle Mcpherson and my body sometimes needs a little extra help. The Tone and Firm Body Oil from Made for Life by Speizia Organics is a new addition to my Spiezia routine. The ingredients list of green tea, peppermint, rosemary, cinnamon, lemon, thyme and meadowsweet is basically a Who’s Who for toxin elimination and cellulite busting.  So, if you want to relieve water retention, tighten and firm your skin tone and be uplifted by the gorgeous aroma, this is the body oil for you.  I started noticing a difference in just over a week. Go forth and make this body massage part of your daily routine. It is best applied after showering and is really easy to massage in using circular motions.

5. Soft Touch Intensive Hand Balm
My hands lean to being dry most of the time. As I have frequently mentioned a muddy combination of kids, dog and living near a farm have me washing my hands a lot! The Soft Touch Intensive Hand Balm from Made for Life by Spiezia Organics not only intensively hydrates the delicate skin around my hands, but it also naturally soothes, softens and protects. The scent of this product is also one of my favourites – sweet orange, rose geranium, ylang ylang, lavender and mandarin. I love the extra tips that Spiezia Organics give alongside this product, including a picture of pressure points that are great to be gently massaged. As I write this my sinuses is not happy with the world so pressure point number 1 is being activated as we speak. A very little of this wonder product does go a long way!

The range of highly effective products by Spiezia Organics really needs a “Top 50 in no particular order” chart and not a Top 5. They are incredibly good for us, very high quality and come from a brand that really doees care for our planet. I would love to hear of some of your Spiezia favourites? Have you tried any of their spa treatments? I will shortly be posting a review of their 100% Organic First Aid Kit, well it is the school holidays…. what better time to test it out!
