The Primal Pantry/Kitchen

One of the products I got on my visit Good Food in Edinburgh was the Hazlenut & Cocoa Raw Paleo Bar by The Primal Kitchen. This grain free bar of goodness is paleo friendly and also contains no refined sugars or vegetable oils.  My packaging had The Primal Kitchen on it, but I see when you go their website that the packaging there has The Primal Pantry on it so that is what I will refer to them as. I was sold by the bright packaging and loved how accessible they make paleo on the go, but wondered what this would actually taste of?

Paleo is all about going back to basics and sourcing foods that are unprocessed along the way. Each of the bars by The Primal Pantry have a handful of ingredients that are great natural sources of energy and protein, more to the point each ingredient is one that we were born to eat.  Their creator, nutritionist Suzie Walker, has created a range of bars that are

  • Handmade
  • Cold pressed
  • Gluten Free
  • Grain Free
  • Refined Sugar Free
  • Soya Free
  • Dairy Free
  • GMO Free
  • Vegetable Oil Free
  • Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly
  • UK made
These are clearly tasty. While I tried my first bit, my son scoffed the rest of the bar. Very quickly. I found it tastier than I expected as well!  We have all tried a “good for you bar” that is utterly vile and is only really good for you because it makes you eat less because you lose your appetite!  This good for you bar is one I would happily have again …. my son agrees. I love that this bar is junk free and I am happy to give it to the kids too.  The Primal Pantry bars are great natural sources of energy and fab for pre or post workout. Or also great for my son who is now running around the garden with the dog doing sprints!
Thumbs up from the Fifi Household. £1.49 per bar. Have you tried The Primal Pantry?
