Simple Tips For A Great Morning Routine

Spot the irony, the person who has a morning routine that seems to change …. hmmm ….. daily ….. is about to talk about Morning Routines ….. say what now? Well, as you know I have been introducing some new habits into my lifestyle and my morning routine is one habit that I would like to sort out …. pronto. So, what better place to look for inspiration than to the people who not only have their morning routine down, but they are also successful. Starting your morning off with the right lifestyle choices can help manage your jam packed days for optimum success. Who is in?

  • Me Me Me – Try to carve out some “me” time every day. Whether you try to get up earlier each morning or simply block out some time in your diary, make me time a daily priority.
  • Thanks – How often do you show gratitude or celebrate those successes? An easy way is to keep a gratitude journal. Each morning focus in on of the positive things surrounding you, no matter how big or small. You might also like to reflect on this each evening.
  • Quiet – Meditation is top of my list of things to learn this year.  The benefits are fairly compelling and include better productivity, improved sleep and reduced stress levels. This could be part of your “me” time every day.
  • Eat – Yep, you know that thing that  you need for energy …. food …. well successful people eat breakfast every morning. There has to be something in that!
  • Lists – Whether you are a list writer or you just prefer to write things down so you don’t forget them, writing a to-do list for each day helps make you more productive and wastes less time. I have started using the Bullet Journal Method, but whatever works for you …. getting those goals or reminders out of your head and written down.
  • Move – Get yourself moving. exercise is not only good for your body but it also is fabulous for your mind! If you struggle to move away from your desk diarise in a 20 minute walk or gym class at lunchtime or after work. Make a date with yourself and stick to it.
  • Routine – yep there is that word again. However, having a routine makes you more productive and more efficient with your time. Which hopefully will mean more time for  Me Me Me each day!!!

Who has their morning routine down?  Do you plan your day ahead of time? Let’s do this people.

Have a great rest of your Monday!!
