One of the things I love most about doing the Fifi Friendly Festive Fast Five is getting to know a little bit more about the people behind the green brands that I love …. albeit briefly. TWELVE Beauty created one of my favourite green beauty finds this year, no mean feat given that I only bought their sublime Hyaluroil Lip Treatment from Content Beauty at the end of October. Since then this game changer of a lip product has followed me everywhere and has been used every single day.
TWELVE Beauty is a natural skincare brand that was developed by a very clever pharmacist, botanist and cosmetologist called Pedro Catala. Why do I love TWELVE Beauty so much? First off their lipoil is absolutely killer! It is 100% natural and wonderfully boosts lip hydration. It also naturally plumps your lips whilst leaving a glossy sheen one them. Quite possibly the best lip product I have EVER tried!!!! However, TWELVE Beauty is not just a brand of one hero product. They are a truly green luxury beauty brand that uses naturally active, organic and sustainable ingredients to make such a brilliant and effective range of clean natural beauty products.

1. What would you love to find under the Christmas Tree this year?
I am not going to play false modesty…. I LOVE opening presents ….This year I ordered Imelda Burke’s book , The Nature of Beauty…packed with skincare tips, ingredients to avoid and quotes from people in the industry that really count. I really look forward to sit comfortably during the Christmas break and read it.
2. What is your favourite festive food, tradition or way to celebrate the holidays?
I am very lucky to be able to spend quality time with my family throughout the year, so this is the season to me of giving back to people who are not so lucky. Having busy lives means that time is precious so I love spending time with people or visiting people who might feel a bit lonely during the festive season. Mum and I prepare lots of Christmas sweets and visit nursing homes and elderly people who live on their own, so it’s the perfect excuse to drink lots of herbal teas and eat biscuits without the guilt.
3. What have been your favourite beauty finds this year?
That’s an easy answer, I’ve found a 1790’s book in and old bookshop in Florence written by a pharmacist with a very accurate description on techniques, formulation and ingredients. From it, I took inspiration to blend slowly and manually the latest addition to the range, The London Mask. Mixing the ingredients by hand allows me to leave some soothing ingredients on the upper layers of the emulsion, therefore all the goodness stays in touch with the skin for longer. The result is unbelievable.
4. What is your best bit of 2016 and what are you looking forward to most in 2017?
This year I spent so much time on the shop floor of my retailer partners which I love, it allows me to listen to customer’s concerns and their feedbacks which are essential to me. There is always room for improvement. During the last few weeks some other stockist have joined the Twelve beauty family so I really look forward to visit them in the New Year!
5. My new year’s resolution is ….
….to spread the word about what clean beauty really means, to make customers understand about cosmetic safety and for them not too worry about unnecessary issues. My door is always open and I am always happy to reply to all the queries they might have.
