Is it me or do the weekends come around way more quickly in December? While they may not always be the quietest of days of the week, I still like to try and carve out a little me time at the weekend to indulge in a whole lot of skincare love. Anyone else with me?
Earlier this year a new brand joined my skincare rotation, the organic beauty brand Vanderohe. Founded by Oliva Thorpe, Vanderohe was born during her pregnancies when Olivia struggled to find products that she could use without aggravating her sensitive skin. Although Vanderohe is relatively new to the market in the scheme of things (launched Feb 2017), they have been collecting awards and high praise reviews across the board.
The first Vanderohe product I experienced was their No.1 Nourishing Face Serum which is filled with wonderful skin loving cold pressed, organic and wild crafted oils. I say experienced, because that is what it is…. an aromatherapeutic skincare treat. Sourcing oils from their true country of origin has ensured that the quality and potency of the oils used in this serum is first class. It is heavenly. It also helped me take back control, fairly quickly, from a dry patch of skin on my face! More recently, I have started to use their Purifying Cleansing Oil and Exfoliating powder with great success. A blog post on these will come in due course.
In a range currently consisting of 4 products, Olivia has succeeded in producing four hero products. Each of them equally as brilliant as the next. I can’t wait to see what great things happen next for Vanderohe in the future! Today, Olivia is answering her Festive Fast Five!
Which five people from past or present would you love to celebrate New Year’s Eve or have Christmas Dinner with? Family excluded – David Attenborough, Larry David, James Cordon, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders.
What is your favourite festive food, tradition or way to celebrate the holidays? Is it Christmas in the snow or sun? Honey roast parsnips, mad last-minute Xmas shopping on Christmas eve, followed by dinner at the River Cafe for all the family. Ideally snow up until Christmas Day, then escape to the sun to recuperate.

What is your top beauty tip to keep that glow this festive season? Vanderohe No.1 Nourishing Face Serum – cold/rain/no sleep…and yet it always makes my skin glow.
Five products that I could not live without? My daily 2 min skin fix pre school run: Vanderohe No.1 Nourishing Face Serum, ILIA illuminating stick, Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, a decent mascara, Neal’s Yard Remedies Lip Balm.
What is your best bit of 2018 and what are you looking forward to most in 2019? The birth of my daughter, Annabel. Looking forward to watching her grow, alongside her brothers.
Thank you Olivia!!
