As someone who may have have been known to chemically treat my hair a little……..and sometimes in the past used the moto “more is more” when it comes to adding blonde for summer, I was looking forward to trying Lovea Bio Radiance Shampoo with argan oil. Tailored for dull or lustreless hair, I wondered if it would provide as much of a treat for my locks as my well known brand of argan oil shampoo.
Like all Lovea Bio products, this shampoo is certified organic, is over 98% natural origin ( this one is actually 99.4%) and FREE from
- parabens
- dyes
- silicones
- phenoxyethanol
- PEG
- nano materials
- artificial fragrances
It promises to help fortify the hair in terms of vitality and strength with the help of argan oil.
Upon opening the first thing I noticed was the slight citrus smell. It was unlike any argan oil product I have tried …. citrus in a fresh and not overpowering way. It was easy to apply and lather. On the skin it felt refreshing, probably due to the prominence in the ingredients of peppermint leaf water. I did not feel that I needed a lot of the product to get my hair feeling clean. It rinsed out well and left my hair feeling slightly more squeaky clean than my other shampoos. No bad thing I am sure as it would also be getting rid of any other product residues. I tried this out on my family and one of my children commented on the smell positively.
Result – my hair definitely smelt nice, dried well and looked good. Personally I found that it would have been more suitable to wash my hair again the next day as my hair did seem more greasy on the second day than I would normally expect. However, this can be the also said of my well know brand of argan oil shampoo. That said the rest of the family tried it, liked it and their also hair looked, felt and smelt great….always a bonus. I would use it again, although probably not for everyday use.
Ingredients: Aqua (water), mentha piperita (peppermint) water*, ammonium lauryl sulfate (Eco-Cert approved), cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, decyl glucoside, parfum (fragrance), argania spinosa kernel oil*, tocopherol, coco glucoside, glyceryl oleate, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, polyepsilon-lysine, limonene, linalool. (Please note that this product does contain (ALS) Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate which while it is a sulfate was certified by Eco- cert (European Organic Regulator) as being mild on the skin and a non-irritant.)
