Highlighter, bringing me that glow since 2010 and totally coming up trumps for me today. Highlighting powders are great but cream based highlighters are my thing!!!! My three faves on rotation just now are these beauties.
Rituel De Fille Rare Light Illuminizer in Ghost Light. The most creamy out of all the textures and deposits the most gorgeous iridescent glow. Slightly purple in tone but shifts to a coolish pale pink. This highlighter is quite sheer to start with and very buildable. Love that this long lasting product is made from 99% natural ingredients as well as being synthetic dye free, synthetic fragrance feee, phthalate free, paraben free and cruelty free!
Ilia Beauty Illuminator in Cosmic Dancer comes in a cream stick format and is a fave for my on the go make up bag. Already a big fan of this green beauty brand, their illuminator has become one of my top 5 products from Ilia’s award winning range. This colour is golden yet subtle and after one swipe I always get the desired effect. It leaves a subtle shimmer and is ideal for recreating a dewy glow on your cheeks, brow bones, nose, inner corner of your eyes and eyelids. Ilia is always upfront with their ingredients and this Illuminator is formulated using all natural ingredients which – like skin nourishing and hydrating castor oil and cocoa seed butter- as well as 72% organic ingredients. For comparison I find this not too dissimilar in tone to RMS Magic Luminizer, but for me the @iliabeauty Cosmic Dancer lasts longer throughout the day.
Milk Makeup Highlighter in Lit has caught me by surprise, like a lot of their range. Am I in their target demographic… err probably not … but I have become a Milk fan. This chubby stick highlight is…. err… totally Lit! It uses Milk’s melt technology where the product responds to your body heat on application. Super easy to apply and flips from sheer to striking is a couple of swipes across your cheek bones. Hello to a golden peach dewy glow that will suit all skin tones.
