You All Purpose Cleaner

On a recent trip to Waitrose there was a half price sale in the cleaning aisle. This was a week or so before the start of National Spring Cleaning Week so, I took the opportunity to stock up and try a new brand – YOU.

YOU is a range of home care products that are not only 100% plant based but also biodegradable.  They are safe for the environment as well as your family because they contain no synthetic chemicals. Yes the environment is important to me, but the family part is the bit that concerns me first. I want to know that anything I am spraying at home is not harmful to my kids or dog.

The products in the YOU range are also refillable! Great news. I like to re-use spray bottles wherever possible and this helps me do that. Another bonus is that it also saves me money and incurs less trips to my recycling bin … which is proactively filled each week!

So does this All Purpose Cleaner by YOU work?  According to YOU it cleans 99.999% of bacteria and germs and I will take their word for that.  What I did notice was how well it cleaned my kitchen top,  windows, fridge door, dinning table and even a grease spattered cooker hob. It did not leave any streaks and dried very quickly. The smell is a bit like antiseptic cream or spray – but slightly fresher smelling.

This bleach free product is definitely powerful and it’s spray bottle is very well made. There is even extra grip on the spray gun and it appears to be designed to last. If you are looking for another reason to try YOU out, they are ECOCERT certified too!
