Teapigs Rhubarb & Ginger

Teapigs Rhubarb & Ginger

It turns out that during Monday and Tuesday’s little hospital escapade I forgot to drink enough water…. or any other liquid. I know… how can you forget?!? My skin is one of the first places to show this. Dry, dry, dry! So today has been full on operation rehydration! I probably should have gone for filling up a large bottle and working out how much I have drunk…. but instead I opted for this reusable cup and bucket loads of water or herbal teas. If you are on the look out for a new herbal tea I can thoroughly recommend this one by Tea Pigs.

I have slowly but surely started to try out the Teapigs range of 100% natural teas, all of which are tested to be pesticide free. The caffeine free Rhubarb and Ginger tea is proving to be a favourite. Housed in biodegradable tea temples that are made of cornstarch and paper, this is a great example of how Teapigs tea is all about the flavour! The temples give all the whole leaves, berries and spices lots of room to infuse, in the same way traditional loose leaf tea would ….. but with the ease of being in a bag.

Teapigs …. A bit more about this sustainable brand

Teapigs proudly promote their sustainable initiatives on their website here and I loved hearing about all the little things they do from having solar panels on the testing room roof, to recyling and to not over filling their kettle each time they have a brew …. I am guessing that will be a lot in that office!

It is not just the little things that Teapigs do well, their work with The Point Foundation in Rwanda helps support orphans and vulnerable young children in the area, this includes Teapigs fully funding a house that provides specialist care and accomodation for children and young adults with disabilities.

The brand is also an approved supplied to the Sustainable Restaurant Association and a member of The Ethical Tea Partnership who work to improve tea sustainability, the lives and livelihoods of the tea workers and smallholder farmers, and the environment in which tea is produced.

To find out more head over to the Teapigs website ….. www.teapigs.co.uk.

I would also love to hear who you keep track of how much you are drinking every day!
