DIY Yoghurt Face Mask

DIY Yoghurt Face Mask

Hands up …. the last time I tried to make a DIY face product it was an epic fail. My anti-ageing facial oil recipe had been followed meticulously and yet after all the effort of sourcing the high quality oils I hated the end result. Worst still it smelled really bad ….. so I passed it in on to a friend who described it as a husband repellent 🙂

Never being one to give up at the first hurdle, I decided to give my DIY skincare skills another shot …. this time it was a success. Huzzah! I have started to appreciate face masks more and love this super simple face mask recipe, which is brilliant at calming inflamed or sensitive skin down. The best part is  that this recipe has the sum total of 2 ingredients! Greek Yogurt and a pro-biotic capsule. Greek yogurt is nourishing and cleansing on the skin, while the pro-biotic calms any inflammation or redness. Super simple and yet super effective.

How to make this mask

Mix 4 dessert spoons of yogurt and the contents of a pro-biotic capsule in a small sized bowl. Apply the cool mixture to  your face. I like to apply with my fingers to make sure as much of the goodness is going directly onto my skin. Leave the mask on until it dries and rinse off with warm water and a cloth.
