I thought I would do something a little different for my Festive Edits this year. Last year’s edit concentrated purely on beauty so over the next week there will be the Ultimate Green Festive Edits on Food, Home and Lifestyle. Before then, lets talk all about the Beauty! What do you buy for the girl who loves a bit of green beauty or a cleaner lifestyle! Sit tight, I have the answers for you dear reader.
Beautiful skin is the gift that everyday girl wants and you cannot go wrong with the Restore Face Mask (£24 for 60ml) and Restore Facial Oil (£38 for 30ml) by Mallow + White. The gorgeous organic, award winning and handmade products by Mallow + White have remained firmly on my radar for the last year. The Mallow + White Restore mask is fantastic for your skin all year round as it detoxifies, hydrates, nourishes, soothes and rebalances. Even better is it can also be used as an exfoliator too! You hopefully already know that this 100% natural clay face mask is one of my favourite masks ever!
The Restore Facial Oil is recommended for normal/dry skin but to be honest I find it brilliantly helps brings nourishment and radiance to my skin. These are excellent products no matter what the season or what my skin’s needs are. Check out Mallow + White’s website for more details.
The Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser (£52 for 60ml) and Cell Repair Night Oil (£55 for 50ml) by Aurelia Probiotic Skincare don’t just come in stunning packaging, they also provide stunning results. Like most of us, I may burn the candle at both ends throughout the year …. but burn it a little extra over the festive period. My skin is always the first place that this takes its toll. These two little Aurelia beauties help my skin repair overnight and help me wake up looking fresh … and that is just one reason why they are award winners! I adore the smell of everything in the Aurelia product range. To me there is something about using these products at night time that is wonderfully soothing. Aurelia Probiotic Skincare also do some great gift sets for Christmas which you can check out at their website here.
For over 30 years Burt’s Bees have been producing natural health and body care products. I remember trying one of their lip balms for the first time during a ski trip in Canada about 15 years ago. We still love them today. Burt’s Bees do a great selection of stocking fillers including the A Bit of Burt’s Vanilla Bean Gift Set ( £5.99). This set includes a Burt’s Bees Lipbalm with Vanilla Bean and a Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. Check out there website here to find out more information on there gifts sets.
Odylique pull out the stops when it comes to doing great gift sets. For over 30 years their certified organic, natural and fair trade products have been caring for even the most sensitive skins out there. Even their exfoliator is sensitive skin friendly. Their website lets you choose a price limit or if the gift is for him, her or for a baby. My favourite gift set by Odylique is the Rose Gift Box (£49 with 3 full size products).
This vegan friendly, green beauty and 100% natural set includes full sizes of the Calming Rose Super Tonic, Timeless Rose Moisturiser and the Creamy Coconut Cleanser. This last product is a new addition to my cleansing routine. To save time wrapping up, this set comes pre-wrapped in floral designed tissue paper with a bow. Happy days! You can find out more about their full range of gift sets here.
Jane Iredale have brought out a trio of ultra glossy lip glosses especially for the festive season- Champagne on Ice Kit ( £29.95). I have several Jane Iredale Lip products in my make up bag and really rate them. If you are looking for a lip gloss that is more hydrating than sticky you will love these. Made out of organic oils and extracts, these lip glosses come in three flattering sheer shades that will suit any skin tone.
You Go to My Head is a shimmery sheer gold. Lips on Crystal is a fuchsia red with gold shimmer. Lovely Bubbles is a shimmery clear iridescent that looks fantastic with a smokey eye and can also be used on top of another lip colour. I am a particular fan of the hand bag friendly sizes that they come in and the lemony taste! This green beauty product is also gluten free. You can find out more about the Champagne on Ice Kit here.
If I could ask for something wonderfully indulgent this year it would be a relaxing spa holiday …. Top of my wish list at the moment is the award winning Lefay Resort and Spa in Lake Garda. Sadly, I am fairly sure that I won’t be receiving a trip to this wonderful luxury eco spa resort this year. The next best thing would be a gift from their new range of organic face and body oils. This green beauty range is Cosmos Organic certified and includes a wonderful mixture of natural ingredients and essential oils.
All of the Lefay natural beauty products are free from petrochemicals, parabens, sulphates and artificial colours. A good place to start is with one of their three face oils – Rosa for anti-ageing, Citrus Limonum for instant radiance and brightening, or Lavandula for its calming and soothing properties. Lefay do some great body oils. You can find out more about the range here.
Twelve Beauty pretty much has it all …. natural, high performing, innovative, suitable for sensitive and allergy prone skin. I love a green beauty brand that utterly free from parabens, glycols, sulphates, petrochemicals and silicones. I first tried Twelve Beauty last month and instantly fell in love with their Hyaluroil Lip Treatment (£28 10ml). This 100% natural lip oil is super regenerating. This lip oil plumps and hydrates like no other lip product I have tried. I love the rollerball application and that this instantly soothing product leaves a slighty glossy sheen on the lips. The Twelve Beauty Purifying Cleansing Beauty Cream (£22 for 100ml) is perfect if you don’t like a foaming cleanser. This cleanser is great for getting rid of those pesky impurities as well as renewing and repairing the skin. Check out Twelve Beauty’s website to find out more.
What is on your green beauty wish list this year? Happy Shopping!
