Ever since I wrote about the great organic and sustainable brands in kids clothing, I have been so much more aware of what clothes I put on my own back. Day in… day out I love a good sweatshirt, especially one with a slogan….. I mean a t-shirt or sweater with a slogan is a must have in everyone’s wardrobe …. am I wrong? With my trusty favourite jumper looking a bit drab, I started looking for some great new ones that are stylish, practical, eco-conscious or give back to charity. My first stop was Instagram. Wow that platform is perfect to get some inspiration from.
This online independent store houses a gorgeous collection of ethically sourced and eco-friendly beauty, home, clothing and gift-ware products for all ages. When I first went to their website I instantly felt it would be a great place to shop for gifts for my family ….. and me! I love their down to earth and friendly approach on their blog and their Instagram has given me a lot of inspiration. Some of my favourite products include their safe and toxin free Stainless Steel Curve Bottle and the UK made hessian Christmas Sacks with metallic initials on them. Both of which I am planning to get for some of my family this festive season. It is also lovely to see a number of my favourite brands including Evolve Beauty and The Natural Deodorant Company on sale at The Wise House too.
The Wise House do some brilliant charity slogan sweatshirts for £35 of which I have the pink one. These 100% organic cotton tops are super soft to wear and have the word WISE written on the bottom of the right sleeve. Better still, £5 from the sale of each of these sweatshirts goes towards the wonderful Surfers Against Sewage charity, which encourages the public to take simple steps to reduce their single-use plastic usage. My youngest wants one in her size so she can be ” wise like mum” ! ( Yep…. you can imagine how much her dad loves it when she says how wise I am!!). It was Lucy Dodwell’s instagram page that caught my attention first of all…. there was so much of it that I felt was a little bit me! Then I spotted her limited edition sweatshirts ….. and I realised that this site was totally me. I ADORE the bright or metallic colours printed on these easy to wear 100% organic tops. To be honest I struggled to choose which one I wanted to get. I was drawn to the stars …. If you have not realised yet I have a thing for stars …. then there is the new S*Fi design or the pineapple too!
I went with the pink star print ( £36.99) in the end and love it and also how easy it is to wear. This particular style has a wide neck and a slouchy fit which has made it a go to for everyday and also perfect for my pilates classes. One of my gorgeous friends always comments how much she loves this top, so that has made her Christmas present super easy to get sorted!
