Anyone else see how many strawberries are dished up every year at Wimbledon? A whopping 34,000 kg! We are massive berry fans in our house and use pretty much any excuse to enjoy our seasonal faves.
When we are up north one of our favourite stops is Barra Castle Farm shop to stock up on their berries. While we are there we never come home without a cone of their awesome ice cream with fresh fruit blended in!
What we really want today in Edinburgh is one of their Flavorama ice cream machines in our kitchen at home…. along with a supply of their Barra berries and Mackie Ice Cream. (@barracastle please can you do a Festival pop up!👏👏).
The kids are pretty traditional and love to add strawberries in. However last week I tried blackberry and honeyberry with vanilla ice cream…. what a combo!!
