Sunscreen and SPF …. my top tips.

When you live in a converted steading you get an indication early on in the day if it is going to be a hot day. I hear by call a hot day!! Already been up to open all the windows physically possible. I have said it once and will say it again, I am sure I am solar powered, love me some sunshine. Who doesn’t? Just not sure how I feel about a baking first floor of the house!

It is amazing how that yellow thing in the sky boosts our moods and gives us way more opportunity to eat, drink, and play outside. However, if you are out grabbing some natural vitamin D just remember to protect your skin. Those pesky harmful UV and pollution levels raise along with the temperatures and they can cause havoc with your skin. Here are a couple of tips for you.

  • SPF in your makeup is not enough to protect you skin effectively in summer, make sure you use sunscreen too.
  • Don’t be thrifty when it comes to your application of SPF to protect your skin. Even in Scotland!
  • Double cleansing will be your friend when it comes to cleaning your skin properly at night, especially if you are using a waterproof sunscreen.
