March is officially the start of Spring …. even though in last week we were more like Siberia than Spring…. so it is officially time to think about wearing less layers. Huzzah! Even if everything from the neck down has not seen daylight for ….. well since the last time the weather was warm enough to flash some skin …… yep, I can’t remember when that was either ….. a great body moisturiser is a beauty must have.

It is time to show those limbs some love, so here are my go to body moisturisers and body oils that are guaranteed to keep your body hydrated and soft…. and wonderfully prepped to be released at the slightest glimpse of sunshine!
Bodhi & Birch – Nordic White Body Oil
I mean if we are going to start, lets start this good and proper. This body oil is utterly compelling. From the award-winning luxury British Brand, Bodhi & Birch, this skin nourishing oil is skin soothing aromatherapy at its best. Using ethically sourced ingredients, it is fair to say that this product is one of my favourite finds of the last 12 months. I imagined it would smell amazing but it is way more than that. The aromatic blend of Bodhi & Birch’s Nordic White Body Oil is simply unlike anything else I have tried. Wonderfully mind clearing, uplifting and soothing too. I adore this!
Nordic White is a curative tonic of Spruce, Cypress and Pine, enlivened with the freshness of Sweet Fennel with soothing undertones of Frankincense. The fragrance is clean and reassuring, balanced with a soft lingering sweetness.
Aurelia – Firm & Replenish Body Serum and Dry Body Oil
Lets be honest most of us are on a tight timescale in the morning and we need products that feel good, smell good and sink in quickly so we can get on to the rest of our morning routine. Enter Aurelia Probiotic Skincare. Two of my favourite products from the range are the Firm & Replenish Body Serum and also the Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil. I flip between the two of these depending on my mood and how my skin is on the day. One thing is for sure, they are both a treat for the body and the mind.
The Aurelia Firm & Replenish Body Serum is skin loving blend of nourishing essential fatty acids, think vitamin E and cocoa butter, and soul lifting essential oils including mandarin, bergamot and cedarwood. Brilliantly hydrating and yet lightweight. One of the best moisturising serums I have tried!
Aurelia’s Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil has been a firm favourite of mine since I first tried it a few years ago. It feels like a treat, it smells like a treat, it massages in like a treat and it dries on your skin …. like a treat. This dear reader is a gorgeous body product. The half of the oils used in this body oil I had never heard of …. mongongo, kukui and kalahari…. but when they are mixed with fatty acid rich borage and macadamia oil I love how they hydrate my skin. The blend of neroli, lavender, rose and mandarin essential oils are calming and uplifting.
Weleda – Skin Food
Last Christmas my Mum geniusly gifted me my first Skin Food by Weleda … thanks mum:) I love that this incredibly moisturising handbag friendly sized tube is great to be used on my face, eyes, elbows, hands, feet and generally any rough patches of skin on the body. This balm-like beauty hero is packed full of natural skin nourishing ingredients and was a daily favourite to soothe my skin during the Beast from the East cold snap!
Ingredients include sunflower seed oil, pansy extract and avocado oil …. but I think it smells of gin and tonic. Word of warning, it does come out pretty thick and the smallest amount will make an impact. It does take longer to absorb, oh but when it does …. it is sublime. Try Skin Food as a night mask, it is also brilliant as an all natural highlighter, can this product get any more multi- purpose?
Ameliorate
Do you suffer from pesky spots and bumpy skin/ keratosis plilaris on your arms? Enter Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion. Not only is this wonder lotion clinically proven to increase skin moisture levels for up to 12 hours … huzzah!
