Allergy & Free From Show – Glasgow

Allergy & Free From Show – Glasgow

Last weekend we had a bit of a family day out at the Allergy & Free From Show in Glasgow. This was the second time that the show has come to the SECC and it came back in style and in size. My first foray into the Allergy Show was down at Olympia about 3 years ago. It was epic ….utterly massive and filled with so many Fifi Friendly brands.  When the show announced that they were coming to Glasgow for the first time last year, I was delighted.

This year I feel that many of the brands have upped their game for the Glasgow show. One of the first brands I spotted was the fabby team from Cocoa Libre. Their dairy free ….. and pretty much everything else free …. chocolate is a long-standing favourite in our house. Louise had brought back her easter eggs again this year, these are a bit of a crowd favourite sold out in record time in 2016!

I was really impressed with Tesco’s new range.  My kids devoured most things put in front of them at the Tesco stand, especially the new dairy free cheeses, katsu chicken and strawberry pavlova. Tesco’s were also doing a Tasting Table of some of their new free from range. This was a great alternative to normal brand sampling.

Koko Dairy Free were there in force and saw us coming back at the end of the show to collect all of our delicious purchases.  A newbie for me,  I tried my first Daura Damm gluten free beer …. so nice.  It was super refreshing as an end of show thirst quencher!

Other favourites included the sensational gluten free venison pie from Seriously Good Venison, stunning cakes at Delicious AlchemyReal Foods of Edinburgh, Nutribrex cereal, Lavera, Organii, Organyc 100% Organic Cotton Feminine Care and Whole Foods Market.

The Allergy & Free From Show takes place in four cities this year. I highly recommend checking out to find out when your nearest show is. Until next time …. bye bye.
